    Elimination Diet

    Jon and I are on day 16 of our elimination diet. We have been avoiding foods that may be causing inflammation due to food sensitivities. Suspects include wheat, oat, and other gluten-containing grains, eggs, dairy products, peanuts, and sugar. The first few days we experienced detox symptoms which subsided around day 10. We’ve tested eggs and dairy by eating again and noticing symptoms the next few days. We had a busy but enjoyable weekend with company and were exhausted Sunday afternoon, the day we tried eggs. I want to test again to see if the drowsiness was truly eggs or lack of sleep. Since testing dairy I have been very hungry for the first time. We’ll see what the next few days show.

    Weight loss has been stable and we are both down a few pounds.
