    Elimination Diet Update

    We’re a bit behind on updating the website and delayed in uploading our first show. My beloved mother passed away on June 18th, suddenly and peacefully, at age 80. Jon and I were alone with her as she made her transition. I feel like the wind has been knocked out of me, but life goes on.

    Jon and I have been mostly faithful to the elimination diet. We both seem to have sensitivities to wheat, dairy, and corn. We’ve been averaging a pound a week of weight loss. Our Omron body composition monitor indicates that we are losing total body fat and visceral fat while gaining in muscle mass. Many diets cause you to lose both muscle and fat, so we are happy about this. There are many great seasonal foods we are able to eat, so we are definitely not feeling deprived.
